livin’ room mug workshop @ yellow matter

We all love a funky mug and a bit of character. They make the perfect kitchen shelf or work tea break conversation point and what’s better than a mug that looks like a really damn stylish room? Nothing in our opinion 😇

This workshop is VERY beginner friendly as your mug will be pre-made to ensure it’s at a texture safe to add detail to + paced comfortably for you to still have a lovely night out with pals.

when we make these mugs, they retail for $120+ due to the time they take decorate in studio. this workshop is our way of letting you play interior designer and have a more affordable option to have one for yourself at the same time 😘

What's the go:

• you'll watch a demonstration on the technique used for adding designs and cut outs onto your pre made mug - we will have a range of things pre-made for attaching too (think books, vases, mirrors, photo frames, lava lamps) and stamps and cut outs of furniture pieces to make things easier if you don’t feel design brave on the night 
• we'll show you how to draw and paint underglazes on to ensure that your dream room and mug is coloured just how you want it 
• you'll have a damn good time + get to enjoy yellow matters food + bev services throughout
• once the workshop is finished, you’ll leave your perfect new mugs with us to be turned into ceramic and fired with a clear glaze so your creations pop.

the session will run from 6.30 for approx 2-2.5 hours, we recommend giving yourself the whole session to produce something you're really happy with.

You'll be able to collect your mugs after they've been fired +coated in a food safe glaze within 3 weeks of the workshop.
